The Reform UK leader Accuses Teachers of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

Nigel Farage has asserted that teachers would go on strike shortly after a Reform UK election victory, charging that they are “poisoning our kids” by instructing children that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

During an event for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his viewpoint on British schools, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators soon after securing a victory,” Farage commented in response to questions.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to feel guilt about their nation. They inform an eight-year-old black child that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is an oppressor. They create division, instead of fostering unity. They are feeding this harmful mindset.”

Reacting to these assertions, Daniel Kebede rejected the notion that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “nonsense”. He pointed out that industrial action must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his political career on dog-whistle politics and now, similar to other figures, he is lining up teachers and their organizations for a conflict,” Kebede stated.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … If he were to lead the government he would undermine state services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for education and children.”

The party, which is leading the polls by a significant margin, has not set out much detail on its educational plans and seems not to have appointed an education spokesperson.

Nonetheless, his comments indicated the party would overhaul the educational framework. He said: “We have got a massive job with schooling – truly monumental. And, it won’t happen quickly; it requires years, a long-term effort to reform.”

Farage expressed that gen Z was more open to analytical thought, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Paying tribute to Charlie Kirk, he commented: “My goal for schooling is to foster independent thought – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and you make up your own mind rather than what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in the UK and US.”

Reform has previously clashed with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “far right and racist” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

The politician has charged Kebede of being “a self-declared Marxist” … an individual intent that young minds be corrupted through education, their thinking tainted about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The leading teachers’ organization has about 450,000 members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in 2023 led to significant interruptions in educational institutions and extensive missed instruction for children.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also pledged to help spread the digital courses of the institution in the UK. He stated organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I am serious. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of young people to your online courses. I pledge this now and I will follow through.”

The college, a religious educational establishment, provides complimentary classes. Its website states: “Comprehensive learning is vital for well-being and to perpetuate the blessings of freedom. The college furnishes these excellent programs for no charge to every interested learner.”
