Declan Rice Set-pieces from dead balls and free-kicks created chances. Had room to drift down the left flank only to be in an offside position when the ball arrived in shooting positions. Awarded a merited rest around the 60-minute point. 6

The star midfielder Functioned in an advanced spot down the right and also did plenty of the hard yards. Displayed moments of class but scuffed an effort over. Substituted towards the end by a teammate, his competition, following a yellow card. 7

The winger Had England’s best chance in the opening period, his effort well saved from the opposing goalkeeper. With Quansah holding position, he had to offer an outlet out wide yet his deliveries from wide areas were hit and miss. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

Harry Kane The decisive figure with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth goals in an England shirt. His first a classic close-range tap-in while the second an excellent header following a clever run away from the opposition. Aged 32, he’s only getting better and the side have every chance in future competitions when he's in the team. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to make an impact out wide. Had a good opening following a pass from a teammate yet Strakosha denied him. Rashford had a greater influence in his place. 5
